Overview of the Verigene® System Workflow

Test set-up, processing, and generation of results is accomplished easily with the Verigene® System:

  • Obtain tissue sample and prepare DNA.
  • Enter sample identification information on the Verigene® Reader using the touchscreen keyboard or the barcode wand.
  • Select an appropriate, corresponding Test Cartridge for the sample and scan its barcode with the barcode wand.
  • Remove the sample well cover on the Test Cartridge and add sample and Sample Buffer to the sample loading port with a pipette.
  • Insert the Test Cartridge into an open module on the Verigene® Processor.  Processing starts and finishes automatically.  Repeat steps 2-5 until all open modules have received a Test Cartridge or until there are no more samples to test.
  • When processing is complete, remove Test Cartridge from the Verigene® Processor and snap off and discard the Reagent Pack.
  • Analyze the slide in the Verigene® Reader.  
  • Print test results.
